International Activities

We support international collaboration in research and higher education and promote the participation of Irish experts in international public policy groups responding to global challenges. We are a member of numerous European and global scientific networks including the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC), the All European Federation of Academies (ALLEA), the International Science Council (ISC) and the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP).

The Royal Irish Academy represents Irish science in international academy networks and works closely with sister academies across the globe. Through its collaborations, it enables Irish science to contribute to international scientific exchange and policy advice. At an EU level, the RIA is active in the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC). It is a member of global networks of scientific academies and organisations such as ALLEA, the InterAcademy Partnership and the International Science Council.
