Welcome to the Royal Irish Academy Library, one of Ireland’s premier research libraries. The Library manages major manuscript, book, pamphlet and drawings collections. We offer comprehensive access and outreach programmes, facilitate master classes and visits, hold exhibitions and lecture series and publish on the collections. Content is added to our web pages on a regular basis and we invite your comments and enquiries.

Manuscript call-up times: 10.10am, 11am, 12 noon, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm.

Opening Times:

The Library will close at the earlier time of 5pm during the month of August (5th-29th August)

The Library and Exhibition will close between 1-2pm on the following days for operational reasons: Friday 29 August, Monday 1 September, Friday 26 September

The Exhibition will close at 12.30pm on Friday 29 August

On Friday 19 September the Library will open at 1pm.
