Research Ireland Stakeholder Workshop Report
Convened and facilitated by the Royal Irish Academy and Irish Humanities Alliance, May 2024
At the request of Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, the Royal Irish Academy and Irish Humanities Alliance convened two workshops during May 2024 to gather researchers views on future research funding types and programmes for Irish research. The workshops also explored researchers views on evaluating and understanding research excellence and impact.
This overview paper ‘Research Ireland Stakeholder Workshop Report‘ summaries the content and feedback gathered by means of two stakeholder discussion workshops. The workshop discussions were primarily intended to elicit researchers’ views on issues of funding mix and programmatic structures, research evaluation and assessment.
