This session is dedicated to all members of the academic community on the island of Ireland, who are curious about the work of the RIA and would like to understand and engage with the admission process at some stage of their academic career.Chaired by: Professor Lorraine O’Driscoll, Chair of the RIA's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion committee and Professor Daniel Carey, Secretary of the RIA.The aim of the session is to raise awareness of our purpose and membership, and to promote the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) perspective within the RIA’s demographic.

The session will look at:

  • RIA’s work and commitment to serving the public good
  • The current RIA demographics
  • RIA’s achievements in promoting diversity
  • RIA’s membership application and selection process
