Digital Atlas of Galway

The result of a collaboration between the Irish Historic Towns Atlas project in the Royal Irish Academy, Maynooth University and Ordnance Survey Ireland. Based on content from Irish Historic Towns Atlas (IHTA) no. 28 Galway/Gaillimh by Jacinta Prunty and Paul Walsh, the Digital Atlas of Galway provides users with historical and topographical information about the city for selected time-periods.

Digital Atlas of Derry~Londonderry

The City of Derry was ‘UK City of Culture’ in 2013. To mark this the Irish Historic Towns Atlas, Royal Irish Academy have collaborated with Derry City Council and the School of Geography, Archaeology & Palaeoecology at Queen’s University Belfast in producing a ‘digital’ version of the printed Irish Historic Towns Atlas, no. 15, Derry~Londonderry by Avril Thomas, which was published in 2005.
